NileDutch co-operates with PIL for FEWA services
NileDutch and Pacific International Lines (PIL) will jointly provide a weekly service between the Far East and West Africa. The first sailing, from Xingang, will commence in mid-May 2014.
Efficiency, competitive strength and improved service to customers
Both PIL and NileDutch independently provide dedicated container shipping services from the Far East to West Africa. However, the combined service will provide direct weekly coverage from North, Central and South China to South Africa, Angola and Congo with total 13 Panamax vessels (9 NileDutch vessels and 4 PIL vessels). Customers can book their cargo through the worldwide PIL (branded SW3 service) and NileDutch (branded FEWA service) networks.
The co-operation between the two companies aims to offer their customers a better service level and more convenience. Furthermore, it will enable the companies to improve their efficiency and competitive position, and respond to developments in the market.
The FEWA / SW3 service will serve: Xingang – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Nansha – Singapore – Durban – Cape Town – Pointe Noire – Luanda – Singapore – Xingang.
The extensive feeder network serving the West African coast provides rapid connections to other ports in the region.
